(...) Spero che abbiate almeno intuito la ricchezza di questo album, sia a livello puramente musicale sia a livello concettuale. C’è molto qui dentro, qualcosa di magico e nascosto, qualcosa da scoprire e che va oltre ogni apparenza, qualcosa che sboccerà nel vostro cuore inevitabilmente, al di là del merito artistico, indiscutibile, dei Rêverie che vedo prima di tutto nell’incredibile sincretismo che da sempre comunque caratterizza le loro produzioni. Progressive Rock, certo, ma anche molto altro.

about REVADO
(...) Questo non è un classico disco di prog sinfonico, come avrete intuito fin dalla prima riga, ma i riferimenti al nostro genere sono chiari e sicuramente la coesistenza di tante influenze e di tante idee rende questa musica assai ricca. Se amate la musica antica, il folk e soprattutto amate viaggiare con la fantasia, questo album maturo, ben suonato e ben strutturato potrebbe essere un ottimo biglietto per scoprire nuovi mondi musicali.

(...) the result of the recording sessions is a well balanced mix of influences ranging from classical music to prog, from folk to Kosmische music. "Revado" was released as a double album with a first disc sung in Esperanto and a second disc featuring the Italian version of the same pieces. The lyrics in Esperanto were written by Andrea Fontana and in my opinion the band managed to explore the sound of this particular language in a very effective way. The Italian version of the same pieces allows an interesting comparison with the sound of the Italian language (...) It adds more colours to a very interesting album that, according to the band, should be considered as a tribute to the eternal need of looking for new horizons.

Alcune tracce, come il "Sonetto 18" ed il "Sonetto 147", seguono lo schema classico della cantata barocca, ma nell'ambito di questa struttura antica e tradizionale l'esecuzione vivace e brillante dona un certo gusto moderno a composizioni che sembrano giungerci da tempi ormai dimenticati. (...) L'atmosfera generale che si respira sembra avere la dimensione del sogno e le melodie sono sempre fragili ed aggraziate e ci fanno quasi dimenticare lo scorrere del tempo creando una romantica impressione di distacco dalla realtà. (...) Se amate le suggestioni medievali, la musica dai tratti folk, le belle voci femminili e la letteratura, questa potrebbe essere un'idea davvero interessante.

(...) At the time Reverie ended up to be a small Chamber Folk orchestra, always adapting progressive flourishes in their style, and presenting an album full of ethereal soundscapes, angelic vocals by Fortunati (...), without being excessive and focusing on atmospheric themes. Two particular styles are easily detected in the album: a mostly acoustic one with an intense lyricism (...) The second one is a more balanced effort with keyboards in evidence, but always strong acoustic overtones, having an obvious tendency towards the Baroque period and evident Classical overtones. Every style though is performed with detailed, almost flawless performances, even a bit of an upgraded electric background seems needed, and the music passes nicely through mystical periods, melancholic undertones and joyful moments.

A different face of Acoustic Progressive Rock. Intricate and atmospheric music with sensitive lines and beautiful vocals, a must-have for any fan of Prog Folk.Warmly recommended.
